At Braveheart, we pride ourselves on providing the best quality service for all our customers. This would not be possible without our experienced and talented team.

We regularly invest in training and development for our team. Investing in our team is important to us as we look to continue to build a long term, sustainable business focused on high quality, fresh food experiences. We believe staff development is key to being able to provide such a wide range of services, at the highest standard.

Braveheart Managing Director, Steve Gauld, believes it is important to use his experience to develop his team, whilst also making sure he continues to learn and take part in all of the regulatory training and development. He said;

“We have been doing what we do for a long time and we have learned a lot along the way. We think it’s important to use our experience to develop our team when we can and pass on the knowledge we have gained throughout the years.

By making sure we’re continuing to take part in and comply with all of the latest training, development and licences available, we stay committed to not only continuing to offer our fresh food experiences to the highest standard but also continue to invest in our people!”

As well as continually working to develop our skills and improve our services, we strive to ensure we keep up to date with all current licencing laws, regulations, and best practices.

We are holders of the SCPLH (Scottish Qualification for Personal License Holders). This extensive course includes important aspects such as:

  • Licencing law
  • Personal licences
  • Premises licences
  • Licenced Hours and Extensions
  • Control of Order and Police Power
  • The Protection of Children and Young Persons
  • Responsible Alcohol Retailing
  • Associated Law

 It is essential that we have this qualification and undertake all relevant training for us to be able to hold licenses to sell alcohol and run our bar services to the highest standard. These training courses also develop our knowledge and understanding of licencing laws and requirements. This is essential in being able to run our bar services properly and most importantly, ensure the safety of our team and our customers.
