What does sustainability mean to Braveheart?

Sustainability isn't just a topical subject for us, it's something we strive towards at every event we work at, regardless of size or location. The importance of issues such as environmental management, health, education and social issues play a key role in how we operate as a business and as individuals, with sustainability at the heart of this.
At Braveheart, it is our aim to continually improve on our practices for promoting effective methods for promoting sustainability including in areas such as waste management, transport and energy usage. As a business, we work hard to understand any new trends and guidance in order to incorporate these into our event and business management plans.
As a wider society, we all need to play our part in improving sustainability and best practices across the board, taking them seriously and leaving a positive legacy at every event and location we attend.
Some examples of how the Braveheart team implement this includes:
- Opening catering and bar stalls only when required (saving fuel and cutting noise)
- All catering/bars packaging being biodegradable or efficiently recycled to the required standards
- Liaising with Scottish Government and other key stakeholders in relation to waste via an in-depth waste management plan, recycling, and litter plan, which are designed to hit all targets
- Having a dedicated cleaning team to ensure the site is always litter free
- Planning travelling/deliveries to keep them to a minimum by adhering to a strict timetable to keep our carbon footprint to a minimum
These are just some of the ways our team work hard on a day to day basis to make sure we're leaving a positive mark on the people and areas we visit.
